The National Enquirer isn't letting up on John Edwards just because he's not running for President. Last fall, The Enquirer claimed that former Edwards campaign staffer Rielle Hunter had confided to a friend that she was pregnant with Edwards' child. Hunter and Edwards denied an affair, with Hunter identifying her unborn child's father as Andrew Young, an Edwards campaign operative. Now that Hunter has given birth, The Enquirer is challenging her and Edwards to submit to a DNA test. "We're keeping an eye on her," says Enquirer editor David Perel. Don't count on their taking The Enquirer's bait. As Edwards told us in November: "The story ... is made up."
Chapel of Love: Beth Ostrosky revealed at Hamptons magazine's 30th anniversary party that she and Howard Stern will wed in October. Designer Romona Keveza is working on her gown. ... Tommy Hilfiger tells us he and fiancee Dee Ocleppo will wed in Mustique on Aug. 8... And George Takei, aka Mr. Sulu of "Star Trek," still plans a California wedding to Brad Altman, his partner of 21 years. "I wanted to propose first, but Brad beat me to it," he told us at the L.A. opening of "A Chorus Line." "He got down on one knee. I said, ‘What are you doing down there?'"
